The April Soap club kit was so much fun to make!  As always, the kit included 2 soaps and a surprise 3rd item.  

In each kit I like to have a "fancy" soap.  This past month that was Spring Flowers.  To create this soap I used a hanger swirl, a device that is so much fun to use because you never know what you are going to get.  It is called a hanger swirl because the device looks very much like an unwound hanger.  

Now, let's talk about that grass.  I have never , until now, piped anything that wasn't on a cupcake and in the swirl pattern.  So I made a HUGE batch of soap frosting to practice with.  After getting just the right flick of the wrist, I proceeded to pipe the grass, but boy was I nervous.  

The flower is made out of soap dough, a soap that is malleable so you can shape it before it hardens.  

I also like to include an item that is all natural, meaning no fragrance oils or mica's.  For the scent I used essential oils and to obtain the color in my Rose Clay soap I use rose clay.  This soap is one of the first soaps I ever created.  A friend asked me to make something very gentle.  After what must have been months of research this is what I came up with.  I used goat milk in this bar which is super soothing and the rose clay is a very mild exfoliate.  This is one of my most popular bars and I couldn't wait to share it with all of my soap club members.  It is available in the shop when in stock.  

In each kit there is an exclusive item.  For April that was a whipped aloe body butter.  It is divine!
